Training and Placement

Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy - Training & Placement Cell has an important role to play in introducing the students to the world of professional physiotherapy practice in student’s future and is an indispensable pillar of the Institute. This cell continuously strives to help students with relevant and conceptualized professional skills and guiding them towards a bright future and career all around the world with the values by providing guidance/training sessions on Competitive examinations, Career advancement and providing Placement opportunities. This is accomplished through building a strong partnership amongst Students, Alumni, Faculty-members and Recruiters. Around 50-60% of our students pursue higher education in National Universities like Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, etc. and International Universities like Dallas Baptist University, Sheffield Hallam University, University of Essex and many others. Our students have also been placed with recruiters like HealYos, Portea, Geriwell, etc.

Objective

• To organise various guidance/training sessions on Competitive examinations.
• To motivate students to aspire for higher studies and guiding them to take competitive exams like (GATE/GRE/TOFEL/IELTS/PG–NEET)
• To arrange guest lectures and seminars on Career advancement to groom students towards the Employability Skill Development.
• To arrange campus interviews for Interns and Post graduate students for various Hospitals and Institutions all over India.
• To maintain and update a database of students that can be shared with future employers/ recruitment agencies.
• To collect feedback from employers where our students are selected.
• To act as a link between students, alumni and the employment community.
